Empowering Creatives to become Change-Makers

Hello, I’m Anna Jane Gillison

I am a North Queensland creative living and working in one of the most beautiful tropical parts of the world.

I feel incredibly grateful to be a creative myself and to work alongside artists and creatives from many different walks of life.

I have spent the last two decades working in the arts as a galleries manager, coach, and mentor. Earlier in my career I also ran my own creative art businesses, giving me firsthand insight into both the opportunities and challenges creatives face.

Today I am the founder of Anna Jane & Co, where I offer mentoring, creative workshops, and programs designed to help creatives gain clarity, confidence, and direction in their creative practice.

My Background

As a galleries manager I oversaw three galleries, supported a large team of volunteers, and worked with a broad community of artists exhibiting across a wide range of creative practices.

Together we delivered many exhibitions, creative events, workshops, exhibition openings, and artist talks.

I also collaborated with galleries around Australia, arts and cultural organisations, and professional networks, including sustained work with First Nations artists and communities, always with a strong focus on wellbeing and inclusive support.

Along my own journey I also worked with an internationally recognised mindset coach, an experience that gave me deeper insight into the internal challenges many creatives face and the power of having the right support.

Why I Do This Work

Creatives are change-makers. With the right support, they can turn their unique talents and gifts into work they love while creating a sustainable, lit-up creative lifestyle.

I understand the creative journey personally. Like many creatives, I have experienced moments of uncertainty, self-doubt, and the challenge of turning passion into a sustainable livelihood.

Through my work I support creatives to reconnect with their strengths, gain clarity, and focus on the work that truly lights them up.

How I Can Help

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step, mentoring can provide the clarity and support you need to move forward.

Some of the areas I help creatives with include:

• Clarifying your creative direction
• Developing ideas for exhibitions or projects
• Guidance around grants and opportunities
• Mentoring and creative problem solving
• Strengthening confidence and mindset
• Building a sustainable creative practice and income

Sometimes all it takes is the right conversation to unlock new possibilities.
